Not much better than getting out into open water when becalmed and run the boom box placed on hatch when trolling for King Salmon listening to CD's... other than SAILING... but any time out on the boat is GREAT music for my soul.

Sailing, scuba diving (NAUI, PADI, YMCA DIVEMASTER cert.), hunting, fishing, videography, 3D animation, and video editing which is my main employment now... after 18 1/2 years in a Nuclear Power Plant I learned you have to enjoy what you do for a living, so I left, and now video production is my hobby/business & love my work... and love to wake each morning again.

SRB (sailing_room_bot) will remain in ol yahoo sailing room (God booting Bots permitting) until all our friends check in and get his notification to come here. Seems all enjoy the bot free chat here and over 200 of our ol regs are here now. Please continue to tell all your yahoo friends lost to check it out here. Lets not leave any of the ol regs out that gave up on the sex bots that took over our old yahoo room. All the sailors thank you for your help, and this new group here is great to get to know.
46 years on sailboats now... Lived on Lake Michigan all my life, started sailng with my dad on our lightning at age 5, was proud owner of 8' sailing pram at age 8, and went through a plywood centerboard weekly cutting ice infront of club in winter. Dad sold Lightning at age 9 and bought Morgan 28. Learned to sail her solo on Lake Mich. by age 13. Dad got new Ericson 35-2 when I was 17, sailed her ever since, purchasing her 15 years ago when dad went to Chriscraft power. Was Captain for 6-pak sail Charters back in mid 1980's, only to learn chartering took fun out of sailing making it work...Racing days grew into just cruising, & have just cruised since averaging a low of 1500 miles a season, but spend lots of time at anchor in quiet anchorages. Live aboard summers now and love it. Sail mainly Lake Michigan, planning on spending more time in Canadian waters, North Channel for one next season.
