Crew:

Kelly - Captain; Helmsman

Angie - Admiral; Lead Bow Bunny

Haley - Bow Bunny; Medic

Jessi - Bow Bunny; Navigator/Tactician....since at 10 years old she already knows everything about EVERYTHING.....in fact, she should probably just go ahead and skip the rest of elementary school, Jr. High, High School, AND college, and just go right to grad school......ha!

Joedi - Assistant Helmsman...err..Helmsgirl. At 10 years old and for never having been in a junior sailing program, she actually understands the concepts of sailing, and is pretty darn good at the helm. She will soon be our new auto-pilot....

Sydni - Pirate....no, really....we think she may actually BE one.....ha!

Part-Time Crew:

Tyler - At 21 years old, he has MUCH more important things to do than to hang out with us....unless there is free food involved....ha!

Morgan - As in Captain....is the newest member of the crew. She's named after the make of our boat. That's all I need is yet another female in my household.....ha! ha!
HOBBIES
Spending as much time as possible with my wife, and with our kiddos.

Sailing, and just hanging out with friends at the marina.

Playing guitar (depending on your definition of "playing")with the boys at our occasional dock-side "concerts".

Running/cycling when I get the chance.

Home brewing. I just made a wheat beer that is awesome, if I do say so myself....

You've got the best music selection I've seen on this site yet!  On my site, you should check out the video of 1952 Vincent Black Lightning performed by Reckless Kelly (one of my favorite Austin, TX based bands).  They do a great cover of that song!

At some point I'm going to be in the market for new electronics for Relentless, so I may be asking you for some advice.  I had planned on just replacing speed & depth with a gps chartplotter with a sounder, until I heard that the whole GPS system is in trouble due to the Airforce (due to lack of funds) not being able to keep the system up to date.  Anyway, now I'm wondering whether or not to just replace my existing speed & depth with new ones, and not worry about the chartplotter for now.

By the way, do you have the movie The Dove?  It is based on the book Dove, by Robin Lee Graham.

Have a great weekend!

Kelly,
Thanks, as you can see I've got pretty eclectic taste in music, sorry I didn't have room for Luciano Pavarotti too. Checked out that video on your site, great cover. As for the GPS system, I've spoken to people at Garmin and Raymarine among others and I can assure the system is here to stay. There is too much riding on it, not just the marine industry but trucking, airlines, cell phones etc. This country would fall into total chaos if the system failed, it just won't happen. Can you say "bailout". I've heard of The Dove but have never seen it. I was thinking of buying it but they get $23.00+ for a used copy on Amazon. I was looking over your site, and see you have a kid named Sydni, my daughter Sydney just graduated H.S. this past Wednesday.

Steve

PS. Love your boat.

Hey Sailmonster,

I'm going to be in St. Petersburg June 2nd, 3rd, & 4th for a business conference.  Do you have any recommendations for restaurants and/or things to do or see in the area if I get the chance?  I wish I could do some sailing, but I know that won't be possible.  Maybe one of these days me and the crew can sail Relentless to Florida....  I sure wish Galveston Bay water looked like your water there......it doesn't....ha! ha!

Hi Kelly, Ping Rumhead.  He knows that area much better than I do and you may get him to take you for a sailSmile  Downtown StPete is fun and has a lot to do but I don't get there very often unless by boat and then we are rafted up or at the SunSpree resort.

Kelly, a very belated welcome to Sailmonster!! I am familiar with the Nelson Merak Mogans. They were built in this area. It seems to us that you have a great family scene. Terry_Susan

Sailmonster,

THe new upgrades seem to have cut off some of the content of my "Boats" section, more specifically, it cut off three of my crew members.....  Is there a way you can add the content back to the section, or do you have the content so that I can add it back?  Just curious.
