To many to list. They started at the age of 8 and grew from there. I was born, raised and spent most my life in Mystic/Noank Connecticut. My whole life was and still is on the water. We sailed Blue Jays, Lightnings, Cat Boats, Bullseyes, Blue Jays, Hobbies, on and on. Powerboats also. Back than we where putting 50s and 60s on 13 ft whalers. Awe those insane times. As teen agers our parents just let us go. In the winter we where still on the water. I remember at the age of around 9 my friend and I built a Ice Boat out of 2x4s, dbl metal blade ice skates anddddddddddddddddd my moms favorite sheet as a sail. Headed out torwards the middle of the Mystic River. Great wind. Hauling butt. The Ice was so smooth. Sad to say we did not have very good steering. However hard we turned the front blades they we just kept going straight. We bailed off and slide on the 1ce to about 50 ft from the edge of the open channel. Lost the boat to a out going tide and was mom pissed when she found out about the sheet. The Mystic Seaport was our playground in the warm days. Just parked out boats under the docks and in we went for the day. They knew it but just didnt mind. Now I own "Noankor". 32ft and have lived and sailed her for 4 years now. It seems like just yesterday. No regrets and I can not ever seem myself moving off anytime in the near future.
