it was a nickname given to me because of how I play the drums. I know what you're talking about, my friend did some work for the navy in a sub. he was a "Squid" too.
take it easy

That puts you in good company.  Have fun out there on the water. We're sure having some great weather for it.  Thanks for the response.

Fair winds and following seas.

We have a Squid who is an officer in a Parrot Head Club, somewhere in your area.  I've met him only twice so I wasn't sure.  Were you in the Navy, sub duty.. the only two other Squids I know were both in that service?  Just an unusual nickname.  Cool though not too many have it.

Happy Sailing on the top of the water.  :-))

Hi Squid, are you a Parrot Head?  Just curious... you look vaguely familiar.

Abelton Live. It's mostly great for live DJ recordings but you can use it for anything. It's very simple and complex at the same time. I hear Cakewalk is great, I never have gotten the chance to use it though. You've got to get the "B4II Organ" software If you already don't. Freakin amazing!

I'll have to check that out.  The only voices I have are the general MIDI options on my keyboard.  It's a middle of the road Yamaha from 10 years ago or so.  Lately I've been spending more time on my piano and accoustic guitar, but I've got a few things I want to get recorded (if I can find the time).  I f you want to hear a track, there's a video on my site titled "Governor's Cup 2008."  The song in the background once the race has started is one of my tracks.

What software to you use?  I have an older version of Cakewalk that I use for sequencing and recording.

I just got done with a Relaxation CD and I'm currently recording two Rock N Roll/Punk bands. So I'm very diverse in musical styles.

Just followed the link.  Nice sound.  You should put your CD in the auction or classified section.  Do you have a studio at home?

Let me knw your thoughts.

Hey Squid,
I've been trying to get your tracks that you recorded to play without success.  Any thoughts.  I too am a musician and do some recording and love to here people's original work.

Hello, nice to meet you!

How are you? when I read your profile yours reminded me of my nephew in Tampa who plays base, has sort of trying to get a band together ( inbetween working and school and dating) and he's near your age, 24. Thanks for the memory jog. happy sailing,
Bruce
