Man I know what you mean! One of my favorite sayings for a beautiful day in our winters and Falls here is "Just like a summer's day in Switzerland." That's great that you break it up by visiting Florida for a cruise in winter. Bernie (on this site) and I did that last year before I spent a week at J-World in Key West. This year were thinking of doing a cruise from Naples, where he is, to the Tortugas & back in February. Jason (Sailmonster) has expressed interest in organizing it as an event or convoy or even a friendly race or something. Everything is just talk right now, so if you're interested, let me know.

We have been coming to Sarasota in Winters since 2002, hang out at the SSS to mess with boats and charter out of St Pete for a week or so while we are there. Thought we would move to FL when I retired, but found we like Swiss spring, summer and autumn too much.
Hello Will! I'm a fan of Switzerland--was in fact married in St. Moritz and have sailed on Lago Maggiore. Been all over the country several times. I usually stay in Geneva, but Zurich is one of the great civilized cities of the world! Stayed there also many times and if you look on the humor on this site it will come as no surprise I'm a fan of Jean Arp, Georges Braque and the other Dadists. I even have pics at the dadaist Cafe Voltaire there in Zurich!
Do you sail also? On the Zurichsee? beautiful there.
