Olin Stephens famous yacht designer of 8 americas cup winners and designer of 'Dorade" winner of the 1931 transatlantic race and the 1931 Fastnet Race died on Saturday the 13th at about 8:15 am.
Olin was 100 years old.
During his lifetime he designed over 2,200 racing and cruising sailboat designs.He designed the J-class boat 'Ranger'.He also designed some 12 metre ameica's cup boat such as Columbia,Constellation,Freedom,Intrepid and Courageous.
