A boater who was reported missing Sunday night has been found, officials said.

The boater, who was reported missing after he called his brother in New York, was found Monday shortly before 7 a.m.

According to officials, the boater and his boat were stuck in some mangroves near Safety Harbor. They said the boater is uninjured.

Officials with the Coast Guard said they sent a rescue helicopter over the man, but the mangroves kept them from being able to reach him. They finally lowered a rescue swimmer to him and sent him a radio.

Shortly after 8 a.m., Coast Guard officials reported that the man had been rescued.

No charges will be pressed against the boater.
