Yes, I recruited Siren Boy for you and he appears to have plenty of time on his hands to contribute to your site. He and his wife are both creative artists. We used to serve on some New York not for profit boards of directors and committees 15 years ago in New York. He now lives in New Orleans and I live in Naples but we plan to cruise together periodically. Hoping to do a Dry Tortugas run this winter. I recently (June?) crewed a run from Marco Island Yacht Club via Goodland, Little Shark River, Marathon in an Allman 31 and then took the ferry back to Fort Myers from Key West. FYI - there is a $1.00 busride from Marathon at Boot Key Harbor all the way into Key West. Now that is the deal of the century but you have to be over 55 (ahem). Anyway I do enjoy Sailmonster form time to time but I do work a dayjob with erratic hours and have two very small businesses to tend and if I am not doing that or cutting the grass I tend to try and get out on the water. Always looking for a new boat and am saving my pennies to make the next purchase. Have owned Naples Sabot, Lightning, Catalina, Irwin in that order. Next needs to have a wheel and engine and over 30. Hi Bernie! Welcome to Sailmonster! Add some good raftup and anchorages so we can sail your way. We are heading to the Vinoy in St Pete this weekend. We usually do cruises and raftups up and down the coast once a month. Enjoy the site!
Thank you for the welcome. Finally found a picture. Talk about a fixer upper - the schooner on the right is a 75 foot fixer upper and my friend says he is going to do it before he dies! It is moored in the hurricane hole at Fort myers Mooring Field. I am the guy in the Gator hat. The guy to the far left I intorduced to sailing 20 years ago and he now races J24's in Lake Ponchartrain. I'll e-mail him and get him to join. We sail an Irwin 28, also pcitured out of Marco Island.
