There is a Port Mayaka on lake Okeechobee near me and I go there often to see the sunset.
I confused that place for your home port on the west coast. I have seen a number of sailboats go through the locks and head off into the open lake. Something I have always wanted to do and am planning on with my trusty little sloop.
You musy have great adventure among the 10,000 isalnds!
