Holy socks! I just stopped by your SailMonster page and realized it's almost your birthday. Well, let me say it now, so I don't forget on Friday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SAILOR GIRL! If I lived closer, I'd spring for the rum to celebrate in proper fashion.

I hope it's a good one.

Sorta warm, sorta humid, but an enjoyable 5.5 miles in Central Park at lunch today. I hope the weather's improved in S. Fla. so you go running. (Face it -- your running shoes don't like being cooped up in a dark clothes closet.) Enjoy your weekend!

OK, I admit it -- I'm jealous. You just got back from sailing the Bahamas, and the best I can do by way of reply is to say I just got back from running in Central Park. Still, I'm glad to hear you had a fa-a-abulous time. Tell you what: just for you, I'll post a photo of a Bahaman sunset, taken by a friend of mine a couple years ago during a Gulf Stream crossing. Enjoy.

Another sailor who's a runner (or is it a runner who's a sailor?). How 'bout that! Next thing I know you'll be telling me that you're a guitar player too.

I look at running and sailing as two activities that are just about the most fun you can have while traveling at 7 miles-an-hour.

I agree, I was running before I was sailing (or dating for that matter)  and has always been what i need to reset!  Just got back from sailing the Bahamas, it was glorious!
